Disposable pleated MERV 16 filter 100908-08. The MERV rating of a filter describes the size of the holes in the filter that allow air to pass through. The higher the MERV rating, the smaller the holes in the filter providing enhanced filtration. The dirtier the filter, the better the filtration, however, the filters need to be replaced annually to prevent excess pressure drop and for maximum efficiency. More frequent filter changes may be required in situations with high dust or dirt loads. Particles and bioaerosols are captured on the filter. Recommended annual replacement of the filter.

We bought a new A/C system for the upstairs, with a new Lennox filtration system in 2009 and another for downstairs in 2011.  With the X8789 whole house filter in it, dust inside is reduced.   These filters are extremely expensive, and if the HVAC maintenance company provides them, they charge $170 - I searched the internet for hours and found the best price to order them online "Filters4Life" charges $89 so we can buy two at once and save 47%.

We bought a new heating system, with a new Lennox filtration system in 2008.  We used to have a lot of dust and allergy sniffling before the filtering system was added.  With the X8789 whole house filter in it, all of the problems we had before are gone.  The house is dust free for the most part.  The allergy and pollen sniffling is a thing of the past.  Unfortunately the only draw back is the pricing of this filter.  This "Filters4Life" is the best priced company that I have found for our filter purchases.  This (X8789) filter is doing a great job for our family.
